Learn to Teach Online: Free Faculty Course

June 29 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 8:00am on Monday, repeating until July 13, 2020

The ALT Centre is offering “Teaching online are new waters,” a free course for faculty and instructional staff to help with teaching online. Heather Campbell from the ALT Centre will facilitate the three ‘streams’ of faculty summer programming that will support teaching online. All faculty are encouraged to participate in the event.

The three streams include:

  1. Learn to Teach Online. A free course for faculty, with two streams: a 2-week cohort or Self-Guided. Upon completion, participants of both streams receive a certificate in online instruction.
  2. Peer Communities. Join a group of faculty colleagues teaching similar courses (e.g. statistics, humanities) or using similar pedagogies (e.g. case method, labs). Share the load in creating online courses so you can focus on what really matters: maintaining connections with each other and with our students.
  3. Self-Guided Resources. Videos, how-to’s, and other online teaching resources will be added throughout the summer.
